Terms of Service

The short version: use SoftDZ responsibly, don't abuse it, and understand that our tools are helpful but not infallible. The longer version follows.

1. The Basic Agreement

By using softdz.com, you're agreeing to these terms. If that doesn't work for you, fair enough—but please don't use the site. We might update these terms occasionally; if you keep using the site afterward, that counts as accepting the changes.

2. What We Provide

SoftDZ offers browser-based tools (calculators, generators), guides, software information, and a searchable directory. The tools run locally in your browser—we don't see or store what you type into them.

3. Don't Be a Jerk (Acceptable Use)

Pretty standard stuff here:

• Don't try to break the site or exploit security issues
• Don't scrape content excessively with bots
• Don't copy large chunks of our content without permission
• Don't use the site to distribute malware
• Don't pretend to represent SoftDZ if you don't

Normal use—including commercial use of the tools—is totally fine.

4. Our Content

We put work into creating the tools, guides, and documentation here. You're welcome to:

• Use the tools for any purpose, personal or business
• Link to any page
• Quote reasonable portions with attribution

What we ask you not to do: don't clone significant portions of the site or pass our content off as your own.

5. About Those Calculations

We try hard to make our tools accurate. The defect rate formulas are correct, the math checks out. But:

• Bugs happen. Verify important calculations independently.
• Our tools aren't professional advice. An email signature generator isn't a lawyer.
• You're responsible for how you use the outputs.

In other words: trust, but verify.

6. External Links and Software

We link to other sites and discuss third-party software. We don't control those things. Links aren't blanket endorsements—check third-party terms yourself.

7. No Guarantees

SoftDZ is provided "as is." We don't promise it'll be up 100% of the time, error-free, or perfect for your exact needs. We do our best, but stuff happens.

8. Limits on Liability

If something goes wrong—your calculation was off, the site was down when you needed it, whatever—we're not liable for indirect damages, lost profits, or similar claims. This is standard website stuff, required by lawyers everywhere.

9. You Cover Us

If you misuse the site and someone comes after us because of it, you agree to cover any costs or damages. Don't make us deal with your mess.

10. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information. Short version: we collect very little and don't sell any of it.

11. Changes

We might change the site or these terms. If we do something major, we'll update the date at the top. Keep an eye on it if you're concerned.

12. Legal Stuff

Applicable laws govern these terms. If we end up in a dispute, normal legal processes apply. If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still counts.
